[link] this was taken on the 25 of December 09 on the same street. i always thought he was a stage actor pulling a jackass on everyone, but now im really not sure.
the envelope in his right hand has the words "siny' and "burji pav"(scrambled egg with bread). the letter has a lot of random words (addresses maybe) which don't make any sense.
I've dropped this into one of my collections which I call "Journalistic Portraiture." Which is probably a nonsensical expression but I prefer it to Photography/Journalism/People Or Photography/Street for that matter. I encourage you to visit that collection to see some work by other photographer that I find similar to some of yours. Those featured there are talented and depressingly young. I have a couple of images in my so-called gallery in the same vein, but not good enough to be in my collection.
this cannot be considered journalistic material because it has no news value.street photographs are timeless. calls street photography "the human condition".
Nonsense. Journalism doesn't have to involve news. Therein lies the difference between a journalist and a reporter. Do you not consider Hunter S. Thompson's Hell's Angels to be journalism? That masterpiece of journalism had little to do with news events.

shooting people on the street is not news.
